DESIRE CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Must be proficient in Maya, must demonstrate a proficiency in working with realistic characters and a variety of other models.

Must be able to manage large group effectively to deliver quality animation within tight production deadlines

Strong communication skills coupled with an ability to organize and priorities work tasks across multiple areas.

A strong ability to solve creative issues. Along with storytelling through a visual understanding of emotion and acting through motion.

Excellence in problem solving and an ability to balance quick turnaround with long-term quality.

Both technical expertise and a creative eye for animation aesthetics required!

An understanding of creative goals and requirements and ability to source, create and implement appropriate solutions.

Must be keenly aware of the animation pipeline and be able to improve and find creative solutions to the overall effectiveness of content creation.

A desire to mentor and train other Animators on the team.

Proven ability in a high-level supervisory role.

Proven ability in pipeline development.

At least 5 or more years CG production experience, with special focus on animation

Coordinate with production on developing project schedules and delivering shots within those schedules

Assign shots to Animators and ensure all relevant reference is available

Delegating Animation tasks to team members, with a strong understanding of each person’s individual skill levels and expertise.

Interfacing with the Creative Director, and giving feedback to the team.

Provide leadership for the animation team including education and mentoring for animators

Work with the Modeling Department to ensure that models are suitable for rigging and performance needs

Provide the Rigging Department with standards ensuring the delivery of a rig that will meet an Animator's need for control, functionality, usability and performance

To oversee, manage and provide leadership and encouragement to the animation team.

To troubleshoot, QC and support each member of the team and their work.

Ensure that the team design and assemble shots are according to the 3D Layout/Pre-visualization and the Director’s vision.

Work in collaboration with the Production Management to ensure shot delivery remains on schedule.
